Rolf was founded by Sergey Petrov in 1991. On 22 December 2023, its assets were placed under the temporary administration of the Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo). On 21 February 2024, the St Petersburg Moskovsky District Court granted the Prosecutor General’s claim to transfer the shares of Rolf JSC and stakes in several group companies to the state. The court relied on the Prosecutor General’s position that anti-corruption restrictions had been breached; Petrov and his defence contested those allegations. The sale of the assets to an entity linked to Umar Kremlev was completed on 31 August 2024.
In 2023, the group reported revenue of RUB 323.9 billion under IFRS and sold about 131,000 vehicles. In 2024, it sold more than 96,000 vehicles and reported revenue of about RUB 285 billion. Revenue in 2025 was RUB 244 billion.
