Individual Accountability for Unlawful Expropriation
The initiative considers targeted accountability for organizers, participants, and beneficiaries of unlawful private-asset seizures, based on documented evidence.
What the Initiative Proposes
Documented cases of unlawful expropriation may provide grounds for considering individual accountability measures against those involved in organizing or carrying out such acts, as well as their beneficiaries.
Subject to supporting evidence, the assessment may include public officials, members of law-enforcement and judicial bodies, government agencies, and private beneficiaries.
Proposed Approach
IAE proposes building a verifiable evidentiary record and submitting it to the competent authorities so they can independently assess whether targeted restrictive measures may be applied under the laws of the relevant states.
Decisions on applying such measures are made independently by the competent institutions.
